Spring-Summer Evening Antiques Lectures

On Tuesdays at the Tally Ho Tearooms

17th April - History of English and European Furniture 16th - 19th Centuries.

1st May - History of English Silver 16th - 19th Centuries.

15th May -History & Development of Glass in Europe 15th – 20th Centuries.

29th May -History of Porcelain and Pottery 15th – 20th Centuries.

12th June - The Art of Collecting Collectibles.

26th June - A Glimpse into the Real World of Auctioneering and Dealing in Antiques – away from the Television Cameras!

These Antiques Lectures have more group interaction than the slide lectures and attendees are encouraged to bring antique items of interest with them for discussion (based on that evening's subject!).

Each Lecture will commence at 7.30pm and finish at approximately 9.30pm. There will be a 15 minute break for tea/coffee and biscuits at about 8.30pm.

The cost of each lecture will be £5.00 per person and includes refreshments.

Please note that the Autumn and Spring Evening Lectures were almost completely sold out and therefore booking in advance is essential.

24th January - The Great Age of Spanish Painting

7th February - 17 & 18th Century English Painting

21st February - The Portrait in Art

6th March - The Nude in Art

20th March - Picasso and the Modernists
